1. Information We Collect

Account Information: When you register, we collect your full name, email address, and optional username. This information is used solely for platform access, authentication, and communication purposes.

Clinical Module Data: Clinical Compass™ does not collect, store, or transmit any patient-identifiable health information. All data entered into clinical decision support modules is processed entirely within your browser session. No patient data is sent to or retained on any Clinical Compass™ server.

Usage Data: We may collect anonymized, aggregated usage statistics (e.g., which modules are accessed, session duration) to improve platform functionality. This data cannot be used to identify individual users or patients.

2. How We Use Your Information

Account information is used to: authenticate your access to the platform, communicate important updates (including changes to these terms), and verify professional licensure status if required.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. HIPAA and Patient Data

Clinical Compass™ is designed to avoid the collection of Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). All clinical data processing occurs client-side within your browser. Users are responsible for ensuring their use of this platform complies with HIPAA and all other applicable privacy regulations.

We strongly advise against entering any patient-identifiable information (name, date of birth, medical record number, etc.) into any Clinical Compass™ form field. The platform is designed to function with de-identified clinical parameters only.

4. Data Security

Account credentials are stored using industry-standard encryption. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your account information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Cookies

Clinical Compass™ uses session cookies solely for authentication purposes. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but doing so will prevent platform login.

6. Your Rights

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by contacting the Clinical Compass™ team. Account deletion will be processed within 30 days. Users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have additional rights under GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, and port their personal data.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated to registered users via email. Continued use of the platform after notification constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
